    Port of Airlie, Airlie Beach

Airlie Beach is the largest town on the Whitsundays coast, a major regional centre and the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and the UNESCO World Heritage Listed Great Barrier Reef. The economic strength of Airlie Beach lies in its competitive marine and tourism sectors and the benefits from greater region agriculture and resource industries.

Airlie Beach represents the main tourist hub of the region and is home to the Abell Point Marina and Port of Airlie, which host an array of tours to the surrounding Whitsunday Islands. The major attraction in Airlie Beach is the lagoon and parklands.

The recent upgrade of the Airlie Beach town centre and the link between the town centre and the new Passenger Ferry Facility at Port of Airlie has benefited the business environment in Airlie Beach. Airlie Beach is also known for its thriving nightlife ranging from bars to night clubs. The area offers substantial activities including: world-class golfing, sailing, kayaking, snorkelling, scuba-diving, fishing, mountain biking, wildlife viewing and hiking through rainforests and national parks.
